For Youth!

Most workshops in the Skillshare are "Family Friendly" and potentially interesting to ALL ages, but in addition to workshops we also have a "Kids Fort." This is a pop-up canopy space we set up for youth to enjoy, away from the road, and within eyesight of most of the workshops.

Can YOU Offer a Kids Activity?
We are still soliciting programs for kids and youth.  Offer a fun activity for kids to do while their parents attend workshops within eyesight.  Can be something that requires you to be there, or NOT! We prefer activities that promote creativity, connection to nature, and learning new skills, but pure entertainment is fine too! 🙂 (NOTE: Childcare is not provided at the Skillshare) Contact us!

Camping

We are camping for free 10 minutes away from the Skillshare at the farm of one of our organizers. We learned through experience it’s more pleasant than camping at Blakeslee (which has a train track w/in feet of the whole property and trains that run through the night, and heavy traffic on Rt 11, and loud close neighbors).

Red Beet Row is located at 2889 E Maple Rd, Jefferson, OH 44047. Map point here.

TRY TO COME FRIDAY, 7pm, and set up your tent or car camp spot. On Saturday, we will have lights prepped for setting up tents in the dark.  We will not have someone there during the skillshare Saturday to point you where to pitch a tent (we apologize, it’s just outside our capacity).

Camping is welcome Friday and Saturday nights (Sept 16 and 17). Most campers will bring all their own gear.  Contact us with any questions.

ALL CAMPERS PLEASE READ THIS DOCUMENT SO YOU CAN PLAN AND PACK APPROPRIATELY FOR RED BEET ROW.  BRING YOUR OWN DRINKING WATER AND CHECK THE WEATHER.

Learn more about Red Beet Row here.

Thanks to our Community Sponsors!
